Beginning Life at ACRE
4 hours and getting very lost later, I finally made it to ACRE. Luckily I was about 2 hours late.
A very tasty dinner awaited us all, homemade burgers fresh from the cows on the farm. I mingled and met some new friends, fellow first time ACRE’ers fresh out of undergrad with a taste for video and collage art.
All 50 of us hung out by a make shift bonfire and swapped stories, jokes, laughs, and info about our artwork. I have to present a show n’ tell of my work after dinner tomorrow. Until then, I will be exploring the grounds, as well as the surrounding towns.
There is no cell phone service at all, and wifi is only limited to the “library area” of the cabin (pictured above). My nerves are slowly leaving and my creative juices are starting to flow.
And it’s only day one.
