If you’ve been following the news recently, a girl by the name of Michelle Joni has been going about New York in an afro and saying it’s changed her life/perspective/spirit or some mess like that. She blogs about it at Before and Afro, where you can find a collection of her delusion. Basically she is unaware of how offensive it is to not only me but my entire community. She’s a repeat offender in other instances, just take a minute to Google her previous antics.
I’m not going to get in too deep over here, but Tracy Clayton, aka Brokey McPoverty, does a great job of expressing exactly what I feel at Postbourgie, where I originally heard about miss Joni. As many racially themed costumes seem to be all the rage this Halloween, it was suiting to create this out of frustration.
